Automatic emails
To run the automatic email program, all you have to do is make sure that the Create Automatic Emails for e-timecard check box on the Parameter Setup screen, Emails tab is turned on.
Below is a list of the messages that the email program automatically sends. Click a link to see the message format.
Email other approvers who have already approved a time card when it is rejected.
Email approvers when an employee changes/submits a past time card.
Email employee when someone else modifies his or her time card.
Email approvers when an employee submits a current time card
For the system to send this email, the Email approvers when time cards are submitted check box on the Parameter Setup screen, Approvals tab must be turned on.
Hint: There is sometimes overlap between the two email programs. For example: If you use the automatic email program, and you also run email notifications and select Notify Employee if Time Cards are Rejected, then an employee with a rejected time card will receive two different messages concerning the rejection.
