Emailing approvers when time cards are submitted


You have the option to automatically send an email to each time card approver when one of their employees submits a current time card. You may find this useful if you have approvers with authority for a small number of employees, so they can use the email alert to tell them when it is time to log in and approve.

The feature to email approvers for current time card submits is turned off by default. To enable it, turn on the Email approvers when time cards are submitted check box under the Approvals tab on the Parameter Setup screen. Make sure that the Create automatic emails for e-timecard check box is also turned on under the Emails tab.

Note: Regardless of your setting for the field Email approvers when time cards are submitted, e-timecard always sends emails to all approvers when one of their employees changes then resubmits an archived time card as long as the Create automatic emails for e-timecard check box is turned on.
