Setting interface options


Follow these steps to make interface settings.

To set default interface options

  1. On the e-timecard Initialization screen, click the Interface Options tab.

  2. Click on the dropdown arrow for Interface Option and select which time card statuses you want to export.

  3. Click the Allow Recognition Pay check box if your company compensates exempt employees for additional hours. Employees can enter recognition pay hours on the Edit Time Card screen.

  4. Click the Calculate Prorated Hours check box if you want to calculate prorated hours during the export. You will have to turn on this function for individual employee types. This option is available to users of e-timecard standalone only.

  5. Click the Refresh Department Data During Interface check box if you want the program to update an employee’s org9 during the export if it has changed from its setting on the time card.

  6. Click the Close Time Card Period after Interface check box if you want e-timecard to automatically set the status to Closed. When the status is set to Closed, employees cannot access any time cards for the period, including ones that you haven’t interfaced.

  7. Enter the path for the output location of the file that e-timecard creates during exports. This is the location where the ASCII upload to JAMIS or a third-party product looks for the data.

  8. Enter the path for the input file to upload master file data from JAMIS or a third-party product.

  9. Leave the Interface in Summary check box unchecked to create a detail record for every time card entry. Or, check Interface in Summary to create one record for each job and earning code combination.

    After you complete this step, complete additional steps if your company uses Labor Distribution.
