What is the difference between pay frequency and time card frequency?
Before you create time card schedules, you should know the following terms.
The pay frequency for the time card schedule sets how often your company issues pay checks to employees. Throughout this guide, the term pay period corresponds to your setting for pay frequency.
The time card frequency determines how frequently employees submit time cards. Throughout this guide, the term time card period corresponds to your setting for time card frequency.
A pay period can be the same length as a time card period, or a pay period can contain more than one time card period.
Your setting for pay frequency determines your options for time card frequency. In turn, your selection for time card frequency affects your options for the profile frequency on the Time Card Profiles screen. Read a definition of profile frequency.
