Changing approval delegations
After you create an approval delegation, you can change the end date or the reason for the delegation at any time. You can also change which application(s) the delegation applies to.
Note: You cannot change the original or delegated approver IDs or the start date. If you need to delegate from or to different approvers or change the start date, delete the existing delegation, then create a new one.
To change an approval delegation
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Daily Processes tab, under Management, click Approval delegation. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Management > Approval Delegation. The Delegate Approval screen appears.
In the Filters section, enter one or more search criteria for the delegation record that you want to change. Your filter choices are: original approver ID, delegated approver ID, application to delegate for, date that the delegation includes.
Hints: You can enter partial information in a filter field, such as 1 to retrieve delegation records for all delegated approvers whose IDs begin with 1, or %1 to retrieve delegation records for all delegated approvers whose IDs contain the number 1. You can leave all filter fields blank to retrieve all delegation records.
Click Retrieve to list delegation records that match the criteria you entered. The results appear in the bottom section of the screen.
If needed, scroll to find the delegation record that you want to change. JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by original approver ID. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.
Click Edit to the left of the delegation record that you want to change. JAMIS makes the fields that you can change editable.
Change data for the delegation record as needed.
Click Update to commit your changes to the delegation data.
Repeat the appropriate steps as needed to change data for additional delegations.
Note that while editing a delegation, if you haven’t clicked Update yet, you can click Cancel to undo any changes that you’ve made to the record.
