Looking up function names

If you ever need to enter a function name on the Function Security Setup screen and you don't know the name, follow these steps to look it up from a list of function names.

To look up a function name

  1. If you need to look up the function name, click Look Up to the right of the field. The Look Up Function Name screen appears.

  2. Enter one or more search criteria. Your choices are: module, function name, function description.

    Hints:
You can enter partial information in a search field, such as A to retrieve all function names that begin with the letter A, or %A to retrieve all function names that contain the letter A. You can leave all search fields blank to retrieve all of your company's function names.

  3. Click Search to retrieve function names that match the criteria you entered. The search results appear in the bottom section of the screen, which includes a count of the number of records found.

  4. If necessary, scroll to find the function record that you are looking for.

  5. When you find the function name that you are looking for, click Select to the left of the record. The Function Security Setup screen reappears with the function name that you selected added to the field.

Note that at any time while looking up a field, you can click Cancel to cancel your search, close the screen, and return to the previous screen.
