Creating time card schedules for eight-day work weeks
You can set up an eight-day work week time card schedule if your company overlaps its work weeks. For example, if a time card period starts each Friday at noon and ends the following Friday at 11:59AM, then the time card requires eight days, including two Fridays. Below is an example for one biweekly pay period.
Period Start Date |
Period End Date |
August 1 (Friday) |
August 8 (Friday) |
August 8 (Friday) |
August 15 (Friday) |
The next biweekly pay period will have a time card period start date of August 15 (Friday).
This is how you set up a time card schedule for eight-day work weeks. On the Time Card Schedule Details screen, create a time card schedule with a Pay Frequency of Weekly or Biweekly and a Time Card Frequency of 8 Days Week.
Then, when you create the schedule’s time card periods for a range of periods on the Generate Schedule screen, e-timecard automatically generates the overlapped day for each period.
