Creating labor category maps


To create a labor category map

  1. From the Labor Categories screen, click Mapping Labor Category to the right of an editable labor category record. The Labor Category Mapping screen appears.

  2. Click Add. In the bottom section of the screen, contract labor category mapping entry fields appear.

  3. Enter a labor category table.

  4. Enter a contract labor category. To look up labor categories for the table that you entered, click html/lookup.gif to the right of the field.

  5. Click the dropdown arrow for Cost Element/Employee (user-defined label) and select one of the options.

  6. Make an entry in the Code/ID field. Based on your selection in the previous step, you enter a cost element code or an employee ID. To look up valid cost elements or employees, click html/lookup.gif to the right of the field.

  7. Enter an Effective Date. This is the date when the link becomes effective for the cost element or employee.
    Hint:
    You can enter the date manually. You can also click html/calendar_arrow.gif to the right of the field to select a date from a calendar.

  8. Click Update to commit your labor category mapping entries.

  9. To create another contract labor category mapping record, repeat from step 2.
