Looking up security groups

If you ever need to enter a group ID on the Function Security Setup screen and you don't know the code, follow these steps to look it up from a list of valid group IDs.

To look up a security group ID

  1. If you need to look up the group ID, click Look Up to the right of the field. The Look Up Security Group screen appears.

  2. Enter one or more search criteria. Your choices are: group ID, description.

    Hints:     You can enter partial information in a search field, such as A to retrieve all group IDs that begin with the letter A, or %A to retrieve all group IDs that contain the letter A. You can leave all search fields blank to retrieve all of your company's security group IDs.

  3. Click Search to retrieve group IDs that match the criteria you entered. The search results appear in the bottom section of the screen, which includes a count of the number of records found.

  4. If necessary, scroll to find the group ID record that you are looking for.

  5. When you find the group ID that you are looking for, click Select to the left of the record. The Function Security Setup screen reappears with the group ID that you selected added to the field.

Note that at any time while looking up a field, you can click Cancel to cancel your search, close the screen, and return to the previous screen.
