Displaying work orders on every time card line
For org9s that link jobs and work orders, you have the option to display the work order on every time card line. This lets the user see the work order number and its description on each time card line, to the right of the job field. It also ensures that the user can see all of the time card’s work orders at the same time.
If you select to display the work order on every time card line, the following happens.
On each time card line, the user can manually enter a work order number in the field, or s/he can click to look up work orders and select one or more to add to the time card.
To the right of the time card line’s work order number field, the user can see the work order’s display-only description.
The View Time Card and View Report tabs also show the work order number and description to the right of the job on every time card line.
Because each time card line shows all of the information that it always does with the addition of the work order number and description, the user will have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see all seven days of the time card. This assumes that the user has the screen set to standard resolution.
The default for displaying the work order on every time card line is turned off.
If you do not select to display the work order on every time card line, you have the option in e-timecard Initialization to select the work order as one of the time card’s user-defined columns. In this case, the work order appears in the Extra Information area at the bottom of the screen, and the user has to select a time card line to see its associated work order.
