Deleting the job master for JAMIS imports

You have the option to delete all records in the e-timecard job master database table before loading records from JAMIS Financials.

On the Parameter Setup screen, Interfaces tab, the Delete job master for JAMIS imports check box defaults to turned off, which means that the system keeps all existing job master records in the e-timecard database and simply overwrites any fields that have changed since the last import, along with adding new records.

To delete all job master records in the e-timecard database every time you run an import from JAMIS Financials, turn on the Delete job master for JAMIS imports check box. In this case, the system deletes all job records in the JCJOBM table, then it loads records from JAMIS.

Note: On the Import from JAMIS to e-timecard/e-xpense screen, you have the option to retain certain fields when you import. If you turn on the Delete job master for JAMIS imports check box on the Parameter Setup screen, then the system ignores your job master retention settings, because it deletes all job master records from the database.
